The Bible is a unique book in the world because of its ability to preserve existing. there are some proven as follow:

·   The Greek writer Porphyry tried to discredit the Bible in 304 AD. During the effort, he wrote 15 books against the Bible and Christianity. Did he succeed? They didn't. Instead, Porphyry and his books have all been forgotten, but the Bible continues to stand. Porphyry is one of many who throughout history banned, destroyed, outlawed, restricted, condemned, and tried to discredit the Bible.

The Bible says, "The words of the Lord are pure words, like silver refined in an earthen furnace, refined seven times. You will protect them, O Lord, from this generation forever you will preserve them” (Psalm 12:6-7).

·        In 303, the Roman Emperor Diocletian ordered the Christians to be stopped from worshiping and their scriptures to be destroyed. Twenty-five years later, his successor Constantine issued another order to publish 50 Bibles at government expense. The wicked Declension did not realize this promise of the Bible. . ..

“The grass withers, the flower withers; But the word of our God endures forever" (Isaiah 40:8).

·        Atheist Robert Ingersoll once boasted, "Within 15 years the Bible will be buried in a tomb." But within 15 years, Robert Ingersoll will be buried in a tomb, but the Bible is still alive.

·        In 1700, the atheist writer Voltaire said, "Within 100 years the Bible and Christianity will be extinct in history.” Well, within 50 years, Voltaire faded from existence and passed into history. But the Geneva Bible Society used Voltaire's house as a printing press to publish and distribute thousands of Bibles. Such a strange occurrence should not have surprised anyone because God had promised:

"Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will by no means pass away" (Matthew 24:35 Mark 13:31; Luke 21:33).

The Bible has an amazing staying power, while other books do not. For example:

·        A man named Herodotus wrote Greek history in BC. It was written in 425 BC and after 1500 years only one copy of it remains.

·        In the same year that Voltaire said, "In 50 years the world will not hear of the Bible," The British Museum paid $500,000 for an ancient manuscript of the Bible.

While in Paris in the same year, a book by Voltaire was sold for 8 cents.

Neither of those writers could save their writings during the test. Yet God always preserved His book, the Bible, which grew more and more over time. And it is no wonder that God inspired King David to write,

"For thou hast exalted thy word above all thy name" (Psalm 138:2).

Over the centuries, many have attacked the Bible. The Bible has suffered bitter persecutions aimed at destroying it.

 

Fifteenth-century Christian martyrs were burned Bibles hung from a stake around their necks.

·        William Tyndale was burned at the stake in 1536 for translating the Bible from Greek into English. A few years ago, the authorities paid a large sum of money to a German citizen to collect and burn Tyndale's Bibles. But what the authorities didn't know was that the German citizen was a friend of Tyndale’s, and he used the money to help Tyndale publish other Bibles.

Opponents have made many attacks against the Bible. But there are people who have changed their views after examining the facts.

Here are two examples:

·        General Lew Wallace was a post-Civil War regional administrator of the United States. He became a senator at the age of 29 and was known as a very intelligent and educated man. He had no faith in Bible and Christianity. That is why he decided to write a parliamentarian book to disprove both things. However, as he studied the Bible, he found the Bible and Jesus Christ to be true and became a devout Christian himself. General Wallace never wrote any book against the Bible. Instead, he wrote "Ben Hur", a highly Christian novel. The power and glory of Jesus Christ are shown in this book.

·        William Ramsey, an English scholar, traveled to Asia to prove the Bible historically incorrect. When he studied ancient art facts and details, amazingly, he discovered that the Bible was true and accurate even in its most minute details. This evidently made a great impression on Sir Ramsay, and he became a Christian and a great Bible scholar. True history, science, and archeology always agree with the Bible. Not a single scientific fact and research have ever been able to disprove any biblical statement. In fact, the development of science, history, and archeology have repeatedly confirmed the truth of the Bible. Also, God had already announced many scientific truths long before man discovered them. For example, the Bible tells us:

Earth is suspended in space. (Long ago, philosophers thought the Earth rested on a giant tortoise.)

The Bible spoke of 'air cycles and water cycles before they were discovered. The Bible explains that the moon does not give off its own light (Until recent history, people thought that the moon did give off its own light.)

The Bible explains that the stars were numerous (Long ago people thought they knew the number of stars. However, scientists now say that the stars are innumerable).
