How can we know God?

People often ask this question many times: we believed that God the author of the Bible, has recorded enough information about himself in the Bible; Information that people need to know about him. Therefore, we will now study God from the Bible itself.

No man has any excuse to deny the existence of God. The very first sentence of the Bible clearly states, “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. " (Genesis 1:1) This statement can be easily proven simply by looking around as we can clearly see that the creation has been completed. Psalm 19:1) "His (God's) invisible attributes are known by the things that are created (Romans 1:20) Creation shows God's existence. God is the Creator who created all things from nothing. Now we will study and understand that God is sovereign, He is omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent. What do these words mean?

1. God is sovereign.

God is sovereign means that He has authority over all things. He is the Lord of lords. He is the lord and master of all creation. God declares, "I am the Lord, and there is no other; besides me, there is no God" (Jn 45:5). He is the Lord of angels (spiritual beings), mankind and animals, and everything in the world.

2. God is Almighty.

God is Almighty means that He is the most powerful. No one can fight against him. No one can defeat him by rising against him. He alone has the right to do justice. He will do justice to everyone after death. He has all the power.

3. God is omniscient.

To say that God is omniscient means that he knows everything and that he has knowledge about everything. He knows the thoughts of the heart. A man knows his thoughts before he thinks. No one can trick or deceive him. He is omniscient. He knows everything that has happened in the past and also knows everything that will happen in the future. He knows the thoughts and actions of every person who has ever lived on earth.

4. God is omnipresent.

To say that God is omnipresent means that He is present everywhere as it is written in the Bible, “Am I a God near, and not a God far off? “Or can one hide in such secret places, where I cannot see him? says the Lord. Do I not fill heaven and earth? says the Lord" (Jeremiah 23:23-24). No one can hide from His presence. He sees in the darkness as in the day. He is present everywhere. Even in the depths of the sea. He is also in the spaces. God is present everywhere, yet it is important to realize that He is not in everything. God does not live in any rock, nor does God live in trees, elephants, statues, or rivers. God is greater than all these things because He is the creator of these things.

5. God is eternal.

God is eternal. Eternal means that there is no end. He is from eternity. He has no initiation. He is from everlasting to everlasting. He existed before the creation of the earth and the matter in space. He always was, is and always will be. Before him, there was no one, nothing. He has neither a beginning nor an end. God is eternal. He does not depend on any substance for His existence, as He is before the creation of all things. He does not need grass, shelter, and cotton to live like humans. He does not need animal sacrifice, grain, fruits, and any other food to live. Even without, all these things, He continues to exist because He is before the creation of all these things. He is not subject to disease or death.

6. God is love.

God is love. The Bible says, “He that loveth not knoweth not God; Because God is love" (1Jn 4:8). God's love is different from human love. People make promises, but people's promises fail. People's thoughts and words change later. People's love is not perfect, it is not complete. Often people pretend to love. While in their special intentions, selfishness is hidden. Many examples of being deceived by showing love are found in human society. There are many weaknesses in human love. But God's love is perfect. There is no weakness in His love. Those who are in His love are happy, happy. Life in His love. In His love, there is fullness of joy, victory, and complete satisfaction. We will study more clearly in the coming lessons about His great love.

7. God is holy.

God is holy. Holy means "set apart." God is separate and apart from all sinful things. He can never sin. He is separate from sin. He is Perfect Since the beginning of time, no one and nothing has been perfectly holy, but the true, living God is always perfect in every way.

In other religions, gods lie, steal, cheat, commit adultery, covet, and make mistakes. The true God does not do these things because He is completely pure and holy.

8. God is perfect.

God never makes mistakes. He never does anything wrong. Everything God does is right, true, just, righteous, and perfect.

9. God is pure.

There is no imperfection in God. He is completely pure. He never committed adultery, or entertained impure thoughts, lied, was covetous, stole, or did any impure act. No man or any other god can claim to be completely pure. But the true God is completely pure.

10. God is the soul.

God is the soul. Therefore, we cannot see God. However, it is foolish to say that God does not exist because we cannot see God. We cannot see the wind, but we can see the effect of the wind. We are foolish to say that wind cannot exist because I cannot see the wind. We cannot see God, but there are trillions of proof that God exists. If you see deer footprints in the muddy soil of a riverbank, you can tell that a deer has been there. Even though you didn't see the carcass, you saw evidence of deer, so you could say that deer had been there. Wherever we look at the world, we see evidence of God. All trees, living creatures, and all flowers are evidence of God's creation and creation. And as tens of millions of people began to believe in the true and living God and follow Him, their lives changed so we can say with certainty that God exists.

When we begin to realize what God is like, we see that He is completely different from all the other gods in the world. God is a God of patience, comfort, grace, glory, mercy, and righteousness. The Bible says that God is the "prince of peace" and that peace can only be achieved when a man has a right relationship with the true God. No other god or God is perfect. Now we should pay very close attention to what the true God wants to teach us from His book, the Bible.
